Our planet has been warming since the past century the global temperatures have been going up each and every year. As per the recent reports of NOAA & NASA scientists excessive greenhouse gasses and CO2 emissions made 2018 4th warmest year on record with an average temperature of 0.79 degrees Celsius behind 2015, 2016 and 2017. This value is 0.17 degrees lower than the record year 2016. 18 of the 19 warmest years on record have occurred since 2001. With no reduction in CO2 levels, the warming hasn't shown signs of slowing down with events like severe droughts, floods, torrential rainfall, and abnormally prolonged heatwaves are the biggest proofs of it. In fact, the coldest years on record were recorded in the late 19th Century and early 20th century.
Here are some of the biggest proofs that our planet is burning like hell
- Melting glaciers: glaciers all over the world have retreated a lot since the last century some of them are even on the verge of extension. It is estimated that by 2090 all of the world's glaciers will perish away increasing the sea levels by more than 6 FT causing a big threat to the coastal cities. The Arctic and Antarctic ice sheet are declining year by year causing a big threat to polar animals. Arctic sea was at a record low in 2018 there making a big proof that continuous carbon emissions made 2018 4th warmest year on record.
- Rising sea levels: Sea levels are rising rapidly with the warming going on posing a big threat to cities on seaside and major cities like London, New York, Mumbai, Singapore, Venice, and Mauritius will be completely drowned by end of this century. There were reports that some small islands completely drowned near Java sea in 2011.
- Antarctica Turning Green: in 2017 there were many areas in Antarctica that turned green due to rapidly changing climate and reduction in ice sheet levels though it's not yet completely turned green. There were reports of moss grass growing in the depleted ice sheet areas. Scientists are estimating that Antarctica will completely ice-free by end of this century and it's estimated that Antarctica will turn into a concrete jungle by 2100.

- Prolonged heatwaves: the USA, Europe, and Asia saw deadly heatwaves. In 2003 a prolonged heatwave hit Europe killing thousands of people with cities like London recording 38 degrees Celsius temperatures. In 2018 the UK experienced a deadly heatwave which melted the Glasgow science centre and the roads in Scotland. Recently Australia recorded abnormally high temperatures of 46 degrees in cities like Sydney killing many bats and horses. There were many such abnormal heatwaves in 2018 which made 2018 4th warmest year on record.

- Frequent flooding: in 2005 torrential rainfall affected the Mumbai city leading to waterlogging and extreme flooding on roads killing more than thousands of people and also disrupting the normal life of the city. This flooding will be very common phenomena it the rising temperatures are not controlled.
- Frequent hurricanes: due to the warming of oceans the frequency of deadly hurricanes will definitely increase by the end of the century displacing millions of people. In 2005 hurricane Katrina slammed on the Mexico cost killing thousands of people. Such hurricanes will be frequent if climate change is not stopped.
